Embedded Firmware Engineering Opportunity

About this opportunity:

We seek a skilled Embedded Firmware Engineer to lead the design and development of embedded hardware and firmware systems, spanning microcontroller and microprocessor-based solutions. This role is instrumental in designing high-reliability embedded architectures and ensuring compliance with medical device standards.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in embedded systems development preferably in regulated industries such as medical devices, aerospace, automotive, or industrial safety. They should be proficient in C and C++ for real-time, safety-critical, and low-level systems.

Responsibilities include architecting and overseeing development of embedded systems, driving the complete product lifecycle from concept to long-term maintenance, collaborating with hardware, software, quality, and regulatory teams, leading firmware development in C and C++, defining board-level hardware architecture, performing system bring-up and integration of BSPs, device drivers, and middleware, ensuring compliance with FDA regulations and cybersecurity guidance, and leading risk-management activities.

Qualifications include 10+ years of hands-on experience in embedded systems development, proficiency in C and C++, deep expertise in embedded Linux development, strong experience with RTOS and bare-metal firmware, proven background in technical consulting or client-facing product development roles, solid understanding of ARM Cortex-M/A architectures and peripheral interfaces, and excellent leadership, communication, and documentation skills.
