Accessibility Support Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled professional to support a blind Data & Appliance Analyst working within a global Cloud + AI organisation.

This role involves enabling seamless, real-time support in technical work environments by providing visual interpretation, data summarization, and navigation assistance.

The ideal candidate will work closely with the Analyst to provide high-quality support, leveraging their skills in Microsoft Excel, code review, and document formatting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and interpret code to make basic changes and enhancements.
  • Create and manage spreadsheets for data tracking and analysis using Excel tools like formulas, pivot tables, and more.
  • Assist in converting and formatting documents to meet accessibility standards.
  • Summarize meetings, manage task follow-ups, and track progress in collaboration with team members.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Basic coding knowledge and understanding of code structure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including large data sets and intermediate functions.
  • Strong Communication Skills to provide clear, professional support.
  • Maintain clear, professional communication in English, both written and verbal.
  • Willingness to learn and openness to training in accessibility standards and related tools.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG).
  • Comfortable working in a high-speed technical environment with urgency and frequent task-switching.
  • Detail-orientated with strong multitasking and follow-up skills.
