Conversational AI Engineer

This is a key position for building, configuring, and optimizing conversational flows in a cutting-edge platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Translate business requirements into structured dialogue flows, handling multiple branches, edge cases, and real-life conversation patterns.
  • Integrate conversational agents with external platforms via workflow automation tools.
  • Debug, test, and refine agent behavior to ensure high performance and reliability.
  • Document workflows and provide best practices for scalable agent builds.
  • Collaborate with the internal team to deliver client-ready solutions.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in conversational AI, automation, or related fields (exceptions possible for candidates with a strong project portfolio).
  • Proven expertise with conversational flow creation, specifically in RetellAI.com (not just single-prompt or multi-prompt setups).
  • Experience with workflow automation tools like Make.com and/or n8n.
  • Strong knowledge of webhooks, JSON, HTTP requests, APIs, and integrations.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Evidence of completed projects (portfolio, demos, or case studies) showing real conversational flows.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in an hourly engagement model.
  • Fluent English communication skills.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience integrating with CRM systems, booking platforms, or call management systems.
  • Familiarity with other AI platforms for broader perspective.
