As a Senior Airfield Design Expert, you will be responsible for delivering airfield civil engineering projects from concept through to detailed design and construction support. This is an exceptional opportunity to lead and grow our aviation team in India, working on large, technically complex multi-disciplinary airport projects.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 10 years of experience in civil infrastructure design at airports with a degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Civil engineering experience of working on large, technically complex multi-disciplinary airport projects from concept through to detailed design and construction support.
  • Experience managing engineering professionals in the delivery of technical aviation projects.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, competent self-leadership with attention to detail, multi-tasking, and prioritisation of responsibilities in a dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team to meet business objectives both in the UK and India.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Act as the design lead for airfield civil engineering projects.
  2. Take ownership of project delivery whilst giving leadership and direction to junior team members, including planning their work and managing the delivery of multiple technical engineering projects.
  3. Lead and undertake the preparation of technical reports, calculations, drawings and specifications related to the delivery of airfield engineering projects.
  4. Undertake/ contribute towards technical design reviews to meet quality management requirements.

Key Deliverables

The successful candidate will deliver airfield civil engineering projects through various stages of design from feasibility/ option studies to detailed design and onto construction for various clients both in the UK and overseas.

Technical Specifications
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and relevant other airfield engineering design software packages such as AviPlan, SkySafe and FAARFIELD.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).
