Reliable Systems Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Reliable Systems Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating systems, cloud services, and containerization. They will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and availability of software systems by applying software engineering principles to IT operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and automation: Ensure system performance and automate manual processes to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Incident management: Respond to incidents, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Capacity planning: Assess system capacity and plan for future growth to ensure scalability.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to integrate reliability into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Disaster recovery: Prepare and implement disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
  • Performance optimization: Analyze system performance and make recommendations for improvements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of operating systems (Linux), cloud services (AWS, Azure), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, or Java for automation and scripting tasks.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, and ELK stack.
  • Familiarity with DevOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex system issues.
