Job Title:
Mechanical Design Engineer - Next Generation Product Development

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the development of next-generation products. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex R&D initiatives and collaborate with a multidisciplinary engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and develop complex mechanical components and assemblies for high-reliability, ruggedized products.
2. Create precise 3D CAD models and detailed technical drawings using SolidWorks or equivalent CAD tools.
3. Collaborate closely with prototyping efforts using various methods, including CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, 3D printing, and plastic molding.
4. Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes to meet mechanical, thermal, and environmental requirements.
5. Perform tolerance analysis, stress analysis, and thermal analysis to ensure mechanical robustness and compliance with design specifications.
6. Collaborate closely with electronics and software engineering teams to ensure seamless mechanical integration in multi-disciplinary systems.
7. Oversee testing and validation of mechanical components and systems, including fit, form, and function assessments.
8. Prepare comprehensive documentation for manufacturing, assembly, and quality assurance processes.
9. Participate in cross-functional design reviews, brainstorming sessions, and contribute innovative ideas for next-generation product development.

Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a closely related field.
2. Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant industry experience.
3. Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and drafting using tools such as SolidWorks (CSWP certification preferred), Creo, or Autodesk Inventor.
4. Strong expertise in mechanical enclosure design, especially for IP65/IP68-rated products and rugged environments.
5. Hands-on experience with prototyping techniques, including 3D printing, sheet metal fabrication, CNC machining, and injection molding.
6. In-depth understanding of material selection, tolerance stack-up analysis, and mechanical design calculations (stress, thermal, vibration).
7. Knowledge of DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) principles to optimize designs for cost-effective production.
8. Familiarity with GD&T, technical drawing standards, and compliance with industry norms (ASME, ISO).
