Job Description

The Global Expansion Strategist will develop a thorough understanding of client propositions, geographies, various sectors, business strengths of the regions, tax benefits for investors, policies, and compliances.

  • Manage complete Investment Promotion projects of client geographies (Economic Development Organisations).
  • Conduct evaluation meetings with Indian companies/conglomerates.
  • Engage in discussions with CXOs of Indian companies and develop an understanding of their expansion plans in various international markets.
  • Identify companies with business interests to invest/expand in the international markets and generate leads.
Key Responsibilities

Interact with overseas companies/consultants via various modes of communication like email, telephonic interviews, participating in seminars/networking events, and meetings to understand their expansion plans.

  • Identify opportunities for our clients.
  • Presents client geographies as potential business locations for company expansion plans.
  • Analyze and formulate reports from data/information gathered from interactions and meetings.
  • Engage with the client, manage delegation visits, client visits, virtual webinars, investors road shows for client accounts.
  • Write proposals, business plans, and analysis.
  • Set up meetings with CXO level executives of qualified companies.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations on research findings and trends on cross-border investments, Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) to the clients.
  • Interact with overseas clients and provide regular updates through the project.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations on client geographies and propositions to international companies.
  • Manage junior team members and mentor them through the process.
  • Author reports containing actionable recommendations.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you need:

  • Minimum 3-4 years in Trade promotion bodies/Expert Network/Trade & Investment Promotion/Investment Attraction/SME-Corporate Banking/Economic Development/Market Entry with experience in business development and handling overseas clients.
  • Strong industry expertise and networks. Experience of business development will be preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with fluency in English is must.
  • Understanding of Market Entry, Cross-Border Investments, Internationalization via International market expansion.
  • Experience of New Business Development and Client Handling.
Qualifications

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelors in any discipline, preference for Masters in fields of Economics, Finance, International Business (other disciplines will be considered where candidates can demonstrate core skills required).
  • Demonstrated ability to work inter-team, collaborate, ideate, engage with clients, and work in global teams.
