Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented HCC Coder to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have 1-5 years of experience in medical coding, specifically focusing on Hierarchical Condition Categories (HCC). This role involves reviewing medical records, ensuring accurate coding, and collaborating with healthcare providers to maintain compliance with coding regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Medical Record Review: Reviewing and analyzing medical records to ensure accurate coding of diagnoses and procedures.
  • Coding Compliance: Assigning appropriate codes based on the ICD-10-CM and CPT coding guidelines.
  • Collaboration: Collaborating with healthcare providers to clarify any discrepancies in documentation.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring compliance with all coding regulations and guidelines.
  • Continuous Learning: Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of coding practices and regulations.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 1-5 years of experience in medical coding, specifically in HCC coding.
  • Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT coding systems.
  • Certification in medical coding (e.g., CPC, CCS, or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
