We are seeking a detail-oriented HCC Coder to join our healthcare team in India. The ideal candidate will have 1-5 years of experience in medical coding, specifically focusing on Hierarchical Condition Categories (HCC). This role involves reviewing medical records, ensuring accurate coding, and collaborating with healthcare providers to maintain compliance with coding regulations.

Responsibilities

- Reviewing and analyzing medical records to ensure accurate coding of diagnoses and procedures.
- Assigning appropriate codes based on the ICD-10-CM and CPT coding guidelines.
- Collaborating with healthcare providers to clarify any discrepancies in documentation.
- Ensuring compliance with all coding regulations and guidelines.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of coding practices and regulations.
- Participating in quality assurance and audits to improve coding accuracy.

Skills and Qualifications

- 1-5 years of experience in medical coding, specifically in HCC coding.
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT coding systems.
- Certification in medical coding (e.g., CPC, CCS, or equivalent) is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in using coding software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
