Linux System Expertise Wanted

We are looking for an expert in Linux system administration to ensure the performance and security of our infrastructure.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Create, extend, and troubleshoot file systems using LVM concepts.
  • Validate multipath configuration, add LUNs, and enable multipath.
  • Evaluate and correct OS vulnerabilities by patching servers.
  • Coordinate with vendors for hardware and OS level issues.
  • Manage log rotation and file system usage.
  • Implement changes as per application and database team requirements.
  • Adhere to service-level agreements and follow industry-standard processes.
  • Configure and manage services such as NTP, SSH, and AUTOFS.
  • Troubleshoot OS-level issues during server setup and resolve bootable problems.
  • Familiarity with OS migration is a plus.

Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Linux administration principles.
  • Experience with LVM, multipath, and log rotation techniques.
  • Able to evaluate and correct OS vulnerabilities.
  • Effective communication skills for vendor coordination.
  • Familiarity with service management tools.
  • Problem-solving skills for troubleshooting OS-level issues.
