Job Overview

We are seeking an accomplished mine planner to spearhead our coal mines division. This role is pivotal in driving the success of our aluminium business, which boasts a production capacity of 2.3 million tonnes per annum.

To secure this position, you will need to possess exceptional leadership skills, robust knowledge of resource modelling and pit optimisation, as well as a strong understanding of statutory regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Resource Planning:
  • Develop and implement effective resource models to maximise coal extraction.
  • Pit Optimisation:
  • Conduct detailed analysis to identify optimal pit layouts and ensure efficient mining operations.
  • Scheduling:
  • Coordinate and manage the scheduling process to ensure seamless execution of mining activities.
  • DPR Preparation:
  • Prepare comprehensive development plans for new mining blocks, taking into account environmental and social considerations.
  • Mining Plan Preparation:
  • Develop and submit operational and statutory mining plans to regulatory bodies.
  • Exploration and Feasibility Studies:
  • Undertake exploration programs, including in-fill drilling, to assess the quality and quantity of coal reserves.
  • Liaison with Statutory Bodies:
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with relevant authorities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Candidate Profile
  • A minimum of 60% throughout education.
  • B.Tech / M.Tech (Mining Engineer) degree with over 10 years of experience in the mining industry.
  • Proven expertise in project planning and tracking tools, such as MS Project, Primavera, MS Office, Auto-CAD, and documentation management.
  • Demonstrated leadership in driving mining approvals, commencement, and operations.
  • Thorough understanding of statutory clearances and relevant Acts, regulations, and government guidelines.
