Job Title: Business Risk Manager

Our goal is to drive business results through the creation and implementation of scalable and efficient people practices. We are seeking a Business Risk Manager to lead risk management activities within the HR function.

The Business Risk Manager will design the strategy and work plan for the function and ensure all activities are delivered against that plan. They will also represent HR within centralized risk management forums and projects, providing insight into central programs and ensuring work driven into HR is proportionate and appropriate.

The Business Risk Manager owns controls testing for HR and provides related assurance. They track remediation and control/documentation improvements and ensure HR compliance through continued evolution of compliance programs/controls.

The role includes designing new risk-related programs of work to address emerging strategic HR risk management issues and representing risk management and compliance on internal HR projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing internal governance processes including consistent controls and monitoring programs for India HR
  • Managing documentation and execution of local HR controls to demonstrate adherence to local employment laws and quality delivery of services in HR
  • Leading audit activities and establishing a framework to facilitate both internal and external audits
  • Serving as Risk point-person for Capital One India HR risk activities
  • Helping track and resolve HR India issues and events within agreed upon timeframes
  • Developing reporting frameworks and cadences to regularly inform team and leaders on risks and issues
  • Consulting leaders and team members to ensure end-to-end services and products are well managed
  • Staying current on intent and subject matter targets to support the team in risk management

Requirements include:

  • Masters/Bachelors Degree
  • 8+ years experience in Project management experience leading cross-functional projects and programs in HR Risk
  • 8+ years experience in Risk or Audit Management
  • PMP, Lean, Agile, or Six Sigma certification
