Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement scalable database architectures aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead database modernization and migration initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
  • Oversee database performance optimization, capacity planning, and high-availability solutions.
  • Maintain and enforce database standards, security policies, backup and recovery procedures.
  • Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to ensure database systems support business goals.
  • Provide guidance on best practices in SQL/PLSQL/T-SQL development, indexing, partitioning, and data modeling.
  • Conduct database health checks, audits, and troubleshoot critical issues across SQL Server and Oracle platforms.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience as a DBA with strong hands-on experience in MS SQL Server (2016/2019/2022) and Oracle (12c/19c/21c).
  • Solid experience in database architecture, clustering, replication, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Proficient in T-SQL, PL/SQL, and scripting for automation (PowerShell, Bash, etc.).
  • Experience with cloud-based databases (Azure SQL, Amazon RDS, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure).
  • Strong understanding of data security, encryption, auditing, and compliance standards.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale, mission-critical database systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate / MCSE: Data Management and Analytics.
  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP).
  • Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
