Overview:

The role involves overseeing the design and delivery of airfield civil engineering projects. This includes leading a team of engineers, planning work, managing project timelines, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead design teams in delivering airfield civil engineering projects.
  • Manage multiple technical engineering projects simultaneously.
  • Prepare technical reports, calculations, drawings, and specifications for projects.
  • Contribute to technical design reviews to meet quality management requirements.
  • Provide technical input throughout the design process.
  • Effectively communicate designs with team members, associates, and clients.
  • Identify and manage design risks, issues, and requests for information.
  • Support project managers in monitoring project progress and implementing project controls.
  • Implement technical quality requirements and meet client deadlines.

Qualifications and Experience:

Candidates should have sound technical abilities and relevant experience in civil engineering projects at airports. They should also be knowledgeable about international airfield design standards and proficient in using relevant software packages.

Requirements:

  • 10 years of civil infrastructure design experience at airports.
  • Experience working on large, technically complex multi-disciplinary airport projects from concept to detailed design and construction support.
  • Ability to lead engineering professionals in delivering technical aviation projects.
  • Strong communication and self-leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet business objectives.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Civil Engineering Degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Chartered or Incorporated Status (MICE, MCIHT) or equivalent demonstrable experience.
  • Knowledge of construction contracts such as NEC 4.
