Senior Manager, Software Engineering

We are seeking an entrepreneurial engineering leader to spearhead our India initiatives team in Bangalore.

Job Overview

This role will involve leading a large team of engineers and managers, responsible for developing new products and services and scaling existing ones for the Indian market.

Main Responsibilities
  • Oversee the performance and career development of a significant number of engineers and managers.
  • Own key parts of our products, driving design, architecture, and coding efforts.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to establish a long-term technology roadmap.
  • Be a professional coach and mentor for engineers and managers, promoting craftsmanship and a strong bias for action.
  • Liaise with peers across teams to support and leverage a shared technical stack.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A BS in Computer Science or a related field, with 12+ years of relevant engineering experience and 4+ years of hands-on technical management experience.
  • 5+ years of software design and coding experience in languages such as Java or C++.
Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with additional qualifications may include:

  • 4+ years of management experience in building small to medium-sized teams, demonstrating growth and successful deliveries.
  • 5+ years of experience in building and working with production-grade systems.
  • Successful delivery of multiple large-scale projects with dependencies across multiple teams.
  • Built and delivered cross-functional partnerships across multiple teams.
  • Been actively involved in creating and executing technical strategy and roadmap.
  • Coached, mentored, and grown team members in their careers.
  • Track record of partnering with recruiting to hire and build incredible engineering teams.
