Job Overview:

Automating software testing is a core function of this role. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing efficient automation frameworks that ensure high-quality product delivery.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in building automation frameworks, proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, JavaScript, or Java), and expertise in API testing and integration.

This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to define automation strategies and integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. Analytical skills are essential for troubleshooting test failures, conducting root cause analysis, and improving test coverage and efficiency.

Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in automation testing.
  • Strong background in building automation frameworks.
  • Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or Java programming languages.
  • Experience with REST API testing and integrating API validations.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI.
  • Sound understanding of test design principles, test coverage analysis, and automation strategy.
  • Hands-on experience in Agile or Scrum-based environments.
  • Knowledge of tools like JIRA, TestRail, or similar for test and defect management.

As an individual contributor without team lead or managerial responsibilities, this role focuses on technical excellence and delivering high-quality results.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks.
  • Collaborate with product managers and developers to define automation strategies.
  • Build and maintain automated test scripts ensuring product quality.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines supporting frequent and reliable deployments.
  • Analyze test failures, conduct root cause analysis, and contribute to faster defect resolution.
  • Evaluate and adopt new testing tools and technologies to improve test coverage and efficiency.
