Job Summary:
PACCAR is a global technology leader in the design, manufacture, and customer support of premium light-, medium-, and heavy-duty trucks under the Kenworth, Peterbilt, and DAF nameplates. The company also designs and manufactures advanced diesel powertrains, provides financial services, information technology, and distributes truck parts related to its principal business.

The primary purpose of this position is to be a key player in establishing the talent management and employee experience function for HR at PACCAR India. The role will support the design of people practices & policies, set frameworks, and run the talent management processes such as goal setting, performance reviews, and drive engagement activities at the center.

This is an opportunity to design and apply creative thinking to build a strong teamwork environment, aligned with PACCAR values and reflecting the Global PACCAR culture. The role requires extensive connections with employees, creating awareness of HR policies and practices, driving the onboarding and day 1 experience at PACCAR.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Onboarding and Induction: Design and implement the onboarding process for new hires
  • Employee Engagement: Create a great week 1 experience for new hires at PACCAR and drive engagement initiatives
  • Talent Management: Support in the development and implementation of HR policies, in alignment to Global PACCAR practices, and coordinate employee onboarding and orientation programs.
  • Performance Management: Support talent management initiatives such as goal setting, performance reviews, identification of development needs, and so on.
  • Policy Management: Manage policy-related queries or grievances and provide timely resolution.
  • Research and Development: Work on research and development of policies for people and human resources management and provide technical solutions to achieve employee initiatives and campaign goals.

Knowledge & Skills: REQUIRED:
Overall 6 to 8 years' experience in HR policy & process management, employee engagement, and onboarding areas
Experience with employee engagement, onboarding new hires, and performance management
Experience of designing HR policies, employee recognition initiatives, and good knowledge of people practices across the industry
Familiarity with HR processes and practices, including talent management, performance management, and employee data management
Good knowledge and understanding of talent management practices such as performance and goal management, LMS, career development planning, and succession planning
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree is required
Competencies:
Experience working on cross-functional project teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously with a focus on drive and execution
Demonstrated diverse cultural understanding and comfortable working with global teams
Excellent investigative, auditing, and problem-solving skills; comfortable leading through ambiguity
Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills
Awareness of market landscape and practices specifically in the area of health and mental wellbeing.
