Medical Coding Leadership Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our coding team.

  • The ideal candidate will have over 17+ years of experience in medical coding, with a proven track record of managing large teams.
  • The candidate should be certified from AAPC or AHIMA, with strong leadership capabilities, client handling experience, and a deep understanding of the healthcare industry.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily operations including workload and staffing; hiring, disciplining, and performance appraisals; training; and monitoring quality of work.
  • Develops long-range and short-term goals, objectives, plans, and programs and ensures they are implemented.
  • Evaluates impact of innovations and changes for the coding unit.
  • Designs and implements systems and methods to improve data accessibility.
  • Identifies, assesses, and resolves problems. Prepares administrative reports.
  • Ensures appropriate dissemination and communication of regulatory, policy, and guideline changes.
  • Conducts and oversees coding audit efforts and coordinates monitoring of coding accuracy and documentation adequacy.
Requirements:
  • Any Graduate (preferably from Life Science background)
  • 17+ years of experience in Multispecialty Coding and substantial team management experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong managerial, leadership, analytical, interpersonal skills and Outstanding organizational skills.
  • Hands on Experience in generating reports using MS Office - Excel, word and MS power point.
