Secure Software Development Engineer

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop secure software applications using secure coding practices, threat modeling, and vulnerability assessments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate security risks in software development lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain security documentation, including architecture diagrams, threat models, and security requirements.
  • Conduct regular code reviews to ensure adherence to secure coding standards.
  • Participate in continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipeline development to ensure seamless deployment of secure software.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging security trends, threats, and technologies to enhance overall security posture.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in software development or related field with a focus on security.
  • Familiarity with security assessment tools, CI/CD environments, and secure coding practices.
  • Basic understanding of cloud security, infrastructure-as-code practices, and hands-on experience with tools like GitHub, AWS, Terraform, Jenkins, Docker, etc.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • Strong technical skills relevant to Information Security, certifications like Security+ or CEH are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AppSec depth (CSSLP, eWPT), Cloud specialization (AWS Security), Foundational credibility (Security+), and CEH are a plus.
  • Experience with cloud security frameworks and zero trust architecture.
