Job Summary:
This is a key leadership role within our organization that oversees the development of OutSystems applications. The successful candidate will have extensive experience with the platform, expert level knowledge of business and technical applications, and strong customer relationship skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and enhance local applications through change requests.
- Investigate and implement fixes for raised issues.
- Provide assistance to customers using the OutSystems platform.
- Create new applications and their support.
- Maintain active relationships with customers to determine business requirements.
- Lead requirements gathering meetings and review designs with the business.
- Implement improvements in stability, performance, and scalability across major business-critical systems.
- Develop and define application scope and objectives.
- Supervise the preparation of technical and/or functional specifications.
- Perform technical design reviews and code reviews.
- Ensure unit test is completed and meets the test plan requirements.
- System testing is completed, and the system is implemented according to plan.
Requirements:
- 4+ years OutSystems experience with expertise in C/C++ and operating system internals.
- Multi-platform, multi-dimensional experience, and expert level experience with business and technical applications.
- 3+ years of experience in implementing Front End User Interface and development.
- Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Advanced knowledge of Linux or Windows Kernel architecture.
- Strong experience with web technologies, preferred REST, JSON, and XML Web Services.
- Used Responsive Web Design so that the website is compatible with different devices like desktops, laptops, tablets, and smart phones.
- Experience mentoring others and providing troubleshooting support strongly preferred.
- Multi database and/or multi language strongly preferred.
- Be a problem solver, customer oriented, and with great soft skills.
- Identify, evaluate, and fix applications performance bottlenecks.
- Ability to conduct technical reviews during the software development life cycle and prescribe optimizations and improvement measures.
