The position of Key Accountant involves overseeing the financial activities of an educational institution to ensure seamless operations and efficient management of resources.
Responsibilities:- Financial Management:
- Manage cash flows, accounts payable, and receivable.
- Process invoices, issue payments, and track outstanding balances.
- Process payroll for all employees.
- Calculate wages, taxes, and other deductions.
- Ensure timely payments.
- Ensure adherence to relevant financial regulations and laws.
- Monitor changes to regulations and adjust financial practices accordingly.
- Prepare for audits by ensuring up-to-date and accurate financial records and reports.
- Develop and manage the budget.
- Work closely with senior management to create a budget that meets the institution's needs.
- Perform financial analysis and prepare financial reports and statements.
- Provide a clear picture of the financial health.
- Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting.
- Candidate must possess a degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Proficient in Tally, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft Office Tools.
- Knowledge of statutory laws applicable to the institution.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as an Accountant; preferably at educational institutions or audit firms.
