Job Title: Strategic Innovation Manager

Job Description:

The role of the Strategic Innovation Manager involves identifying emerging business opportunities in the IoT ecosystem, analyzing market trends and competitor moves, and developing research reports on long-term trends and potential threats to current business models. Key responsibilities include conducting proactive scanning of the IoT landscape to identify new technologies, business models, and untapped market white spaces.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop insightful research and synthesis reports on key market trends, disruptions, and potential threats to current business models.
  • Conduct continuous and proactive scanning of the IoT ecosystem to identify emerging technologies, new business models, competitor moves, and untapped market white spaces.

Additionally, this role will involve validating opportunity hypotheses through rigorous testing and design processes, utilizing customer feedback, expert interviews, and prototype testing. This includes developing robust financial models and business cases to assess market size, potential ROI, and strategic value of new opportunities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in market analysis, new venture development, or managing early-stage innovation projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a strong plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in a strategy role such as corporate strategy, venture capital, management consulting, product management, or business development within a technology context.

This role requires a deep understanding of the IoT technology stack, competitive landscape, and key market drivers, along with superior analytical and financial modeling skills. The ideal candidate should have exceptional strategic thinking, communication, and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and thrive in ambiguity.
