Job Opportunity: Network Engineer Level 2

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Engineer to fill this critical role. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for handling second-level support and service requests.

The ideal candidate will have excellent technical skills, including a strong understanding of networking concepts, DNS/DHCP, and Command Line Interfaces. They will also possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities include:

  • Technical support for networking such as WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, wireless, and security
  • Remote access solution implementation and support such as IPSEC VPN
  • Understanding of DNS/DHCP
  • Ability to work with vendor support to resolve client issues
  • Experience with Command Line Interfaces to manage computer equipment
  • IT Support relating to technical issues involving Microsoft's core business applications and operating systems
  • Respond to and resolve alerts and tickets generated from the monitoring system and/or customer requests in a timely fashion
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • B.S. Degree, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent education or training desired
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience as a network engineer including phone, remote support, and hands-on experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Applications
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills
  • Experience installing/configuring routers, switches, VPNs, firewalls (Cisco, Sophos, Palo Alto)
