Job Title:

Drive Automation Specialist for Sustainable Ship Propulsion

This role offers an opportunity to join a dynamic team dedicated to developing innovative solutions for sustainable energy and propulsion concepts in the shipping industry.

  • You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement cutting-edge automation systems for various types of ships.
  • The ideal candidate will have expertise in drive-automation engineering, including hands-on experience with PCS7, WinCC, and Step 7, as well as TIA portal.
  • A strong background in instrumentation, electrical, or automation engineering is essential, along with excellent communication skills and proficiency in English (written and oral).

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive drive solutions for oil & gas / marine applications, leveraging your technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to integrate new direct current concepts into existing systems.
  • Work on simulating and testing automated systems on board to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.
  • Conduct site visits and commissioning activities worldwide to validate system functionality and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Participate in creating documentation and contributing to the development of new projects and technologies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, or Automation Engineering.
  • A minimum of 6-8 years of experience in drive-automation engineering, with a consistent track record of delivering high-quality results.
  • Proven expertise in programming languages such as C++, C#, VB Scripting, and database management.
  • Familiarity with object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and high-level programming languages like Java, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, etc.
