Design Engineer (Mechanical)

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our organization as a Design Engineer (Mechanical) in Bangalore. The role involves automation, design of mechanical engineering components, and development of SPM. You will work in a team environment as a key resource for mechanical design and development.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with 4 to 10 years of relevant experience. They should be well-versed in creation, reading, and interpretation of engineering drawings and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Automation and electromechanical/mechatronics concepts
  • Understanding customer requirements and proposing feasible ideas
  • Creation of engineering drawings and standards
  • Selection of commercial items like bearings, motors, gearboxes, servomotors, sensors, conveyors, etc.
  • Validation of engineering components and concepts through engineering calculations
  • Awareness about best machining processes, heat treatment processes, engineering materials, surface treatment, EDM EBM mechatronics, etc.
  • Knowledge of material handling equipment
  • Understanding of limits fits and tolerances, GD&T, surface finish
  • Good knowledge of DFx concepts
  • Robotics and robot selection application
  • CAD 2D/3D platforms particularly AutoCAD, SOLIDWORKS
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Station DRI-Full machine conceptual design, manufacturing design, DFM, SOP, RF design
  • 3D part modeling, 3D finishing and assembly details, cots items spec freeze and localization
  • Bachelor's degree/diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with 4 to 10 years of relevant experience
