Construction Project Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Manager to oversee the successful execution of construction projects.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including drawings, reports, permits, and correspondence, to ensure compliance and facilitate project management.
  • Conduct preliminary site inspections to assess site conditions, identify potential challenges, and gather information necessary for project planning and execution.
  • Interpret architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and other technical documents to ensure accurate implementation of design plans and specifications.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports detailing project activities, progress updates, issues encountered, and recommended solutions for review by project stakeholders.
  • Develop accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and other project expenses to support budgeting and cost control efforts.
  • Implement and enforce quality assurance processes and procedures to ensure that construction activities meet specified standards and project requirements.
  • Review and authorize technical drawings and engineering plans, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, design specifications, and industry best practices.
  • Evaluate project feasibility, considering technical, financial, and logistical factors, and provide recommendations for approval or modification to project plans.
  • Enforce safety protocols and regulations to promote a safe working environment for all project personnel and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Monitor project costs and variations, tracking expenses, identifying deviations from the budget, and implementing corrective measures as necessary to maintain cost control.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination among project team members, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager (5+ years) or similar role in the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in interpreting drawings, preparing reports, and developing cost estimates.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
