Job Title: Legal Expert

About the Role

This is a key position within the Legal Department, requiring a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in compliance roles. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of corporate compliance programs and be able to advise on their implementation.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior members of the legal team to provide expert advice on complex business issues and develop effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Implement and maintain Infosys' Whistleblower Program, ensuring its effectiveness and efficiency.
  2. Lead global investigations into various issues, negotiate remediations, and achieve operational objectives.
  3. Contribute to Compliance & Integrity Plan reviews, prepare action plans, resolve problems, and identify trends.
  4. Stay up-to-date with key compliance and regulatory regimes applicable to Infosys, such as Whistleblower Regulations, Anti-Bribery - Anti-Corruption, Anti-Trust, and Confidentiality.
  5. Analyze and evaluate risks, using analytics and automation tools where possible.
  6. Review and improve whistleblower systems and employee feedback mechanisms in collaboration with HR.
  7. Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the whistleblower program's cultural assurance.
  8. Interpret new regulations and laws by reviewing proposed and adopted state legislation and regulations.
  9. Proactively derive policy administration, trainings, and regular communications.
  10. Effectively handle complaints, investigations, and remediation processes.
  11. Collaborate with various functions to assist in Infosys expansion agenda.
  12. Advise on public policy, working closely with the Govt. relations team.
  13. Support company positions by developing responses and defenses to complaints, investigations, and administrative proceedings.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • A qualified lawyer with a JD degree and relevant experience as compliance counsel.
  • Addition qualifications like CA/CFA will be preferred.
