Global Patent Paralegal

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to support attorneys in global patent filings and prosecution.

• Update and maintain daily dockets for clients worldwide, ensuring timely follow-up on patent and trademark application filings, prosecution etc.
• Utilize software databases to formulate and send emails, communicate with clients/attorneys over conference calls.
• Prepare PTO documents, e.g., Information disclosure statements, patent assignments, declarations, power of attorneys, title amendments worldwide etc.
• Verify patent family members via PTO registers and commercial databases.
• Bibliographic, assignment and priority details from PTO registers, file histories and assignment databases will be checked.
• Evaluate patent portfolio of a target company.
• Identify and/or verify patent family members via PTO registers.
• Proofread patent documents to identify errors introduced by patent office and/or applicant.
• Conduct trademark pre-filing search in global jurisdictions.
• Perform periodic trademark watch/monitoring for infringing trademarks in global jurisdictions.
• Conduct trademark portfolio audits and competitive analysis.
• Manage efficient and on-time project delivery with a high standard of quality.

• Paralegal and Docketing - IP Admin experience required.
• Sound knowledge of patent prosecution laws in key jurisdictions i.e., US, EP, PCT, JP, CN etc.
• Proficient in IP databases such as CPI, IP Manager, Anaqua, FoundationIP, Memotech, CPI, Patricia, Orbit etc.
• Ability to ensure accuracy and timeliness of tasks within areas of responsibility.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Well-versed in MS Office with expertise in MS-Excel.
