Project Manager Role

The project manager is responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of a project, from initiation to closure. This involves defining project scope, objectives, milestones, deliverables, and success criteria.

A key aspect of this role is creating and maintaining detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations. Effective communication with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, QA, operations, and business stakeholders, is crucial in ensuring project success.

Strong analytical skills are necessary for identifying, assessing, and managing project risks and issues, as well as developing mitigation strategies. Additionally, the project manager must communicate project status, progress, and escalations to leadership and stakeholders.

  • 8 years of project management experience, ideally in IT, software development, infrastructure, etc.
  • Strong understanding of project management frameworks (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid).
  • Proficient in project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Asana, Trello, MS Project, Smartsheet).

Leadership, organizational, and excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for success in this role. Having PMP, CSM, PRINCE2, or similar certifications is an advantage.
