Director of Sports: A Visionary Leader

The Director - Sports is responsible for spearheading the institution's sports programs, physical education initiatives, and wellness activities. This role involves overseeing sports infrastructure, promoting student and staff participation, and ensuring compliance with national and international sports standards.

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive vision, strategy, and policies for the sports department.
  • Oversee sports programs, tournaments, training camps, and physical education curriculum to drive excellence in athletic performance.
  • Manage sports facilities, gymnasiums, and grounds, ensuring optimal maintenance and utilization.
  • Identify, recruit, and mentor talented athletes to represent the institution at various levels, fostering a culture of excellence and achievement.
  • Collaborate with coaches, trainers, and faculty to promote fitness, sportsmanship, and holistic well-being.
  • Organize workshops, seminars, and awareness campaigns on health, fitness, and sports to educate stakeholders and promote positive change.
  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of sports coaches and staff, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote ethical sports practices, upholding the institution's values and reputation.
  • Formulate and implement sports and physical education policies as per UGC/AIU norms, aligning with national and international best practices.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Ph.D. in Physical Education, Sports Science, or related field to provide a solid foundation in theoretical knowledge.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in sports administration, coaching, or sports management to leverage practical expertise and leadership skills.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills to foster collaboration, motivate teams, and drive results.
  • Knowledge of modern training methods, sports technology, and performance analytics to stay ahead of industry trends and optimize outcomes.
