Job Overview

We seek a skilled financial professional to manage our financial operations, ensuring compliance with US taxation and accounting standards.

This role is crucial in overseeing payroll management for Indian employees and working closely with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting, tax compliance, and payroll operations.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in fund accounting, including managing general ledgers, journals, and financial statements, as well as preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for stakeholders.

Fund Accounting:

  • Manage day-to-day fund accounting activities, including maintaining records and preparing financial reports.
  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of financial reports to stakeholders.
  • US Taxation Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with US taxation laws for venture capital funds.
    • Monitor and stay updated on changes in US tax regulations affecting the fund's operations.
  • Payroll Management (Indian Employees):
    • Oversee the payroll processing for Indian employees, ensuring compliance with local tax laws and regulations.
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis:
    • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and audits, providing insights into the financial health of the organization.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Ensure that financial operations comply with relevant regulations, including fund reporting and tax filings for both US and Indian jurisdictions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in financial accounting, fund accounting, or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards, including US GAAP and fund accounting practices.
  • Experience with accounting software and tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or other relevant certifications preferred.
