Management Information Systems Lead

The role of the MIS Lead is to oversee and manage the centralized MIS function for land acquisition teams.
MIS stands for Management Information System. It's a software application that helps organizations manage their data and make informed decisions.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive MIS framework covering all land acquisition activities across projects and states.
This includes collating data from ground teams and project sites into centralized dashboards, generating daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports for senior management, and automating reports and streamlining data flows using tools such as Excel, PowerPoint or any advanced version.

- Ensuring high accuracy, completeness, and consistency of land-related data
- Maintaining historical records of land deals, ownership documentation, clearances, and legal status
- Enforcing data entry protocols and quality checks across regional teams
- Tracking KPIs such as land parcels acquired, legal clearances obtained, lead time, and state-wise progress
- Identifying bottlenecks in the acquisition process and escalating them for corrective action
- Supporting target-setting and benchmarking for zonal land acquisition teams
- Coordinating with regional land teams, legal, finance, and project execution teams for data updates
- Supporting internal and external audits with timely data access and reporting
- Collaborating with IT teams for system enhancements and integration
Requirements:
A graduate degree in Engineering / Commerce / Data Science, an MBA preferred, and 8-12 years of experience in MIS or project control roles, preferably in renewable or infrastructure sectors.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of land acquisition processes and regulatory frameworks
- Advanced MS Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools (Power BI/Tableau)
- Analytical and detail-oriented mindset
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and meet tight deadlines
- Familiarity with GIS tools and land databases is an advantage
