Kline & Company is seeking a highly motivated individual for the position of Project Lead in Chemicals and Materials Practice within its Advisory division. Chemicals Practice focuses on market assessment, market-entry, analysis of distribution channels, due diligence and acquisition screening, identification of unmet needs, as well as customer perception, retention, and satisfaction on a global basis across the chemicals and related process industries and CPG/consumer healthcare industries, with a focus on detailed manufacturing cost analysis, P&L assessment, comparative technology assessment, and manufacturing process improvement. This position will report to the Director, of Chemicals and Materials.

Job Requirements:

  1. Guide research process and deliverables of proprietary projects
  2. Oversee efforts of the individuals conducting research, and write reports
  3. Work with the senior management of the practice, develop/refine the scope of studies, scheduling, budget, and client deliverables
  4. Drive staff performance to the successful completion of studies
  5. Assure the content and quality of the studies
  6. Write/Review the reports for proprietary studies
  7. Work with the project team to conduct analysis, develop appraisal and recommendations, and prepare presentations and all supporting documentation
  8. Present the findings of the project to the client
  9. From time to time, conduct selected primary interviews to obtain critical insights and information
  10. Assist with the growth and development of practices
  11. Working with the Director and VP of the Chemicals and Material practice, develop/refine proposals in response to client requests, including scope, scheduling, budget, and client deliverables
  12. Maintain and develop client relationships
  13. Assist with business development meetings and presentations
  14. Identify enhancements to project deliverables and work processes
  15. Develop the practice's junior staff
  16. 8+ years of experience in consulting in the chemical industry
  17. Experience developing, managing, and presenting project results to senior management, either internal or external
  18. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a multinational team
  19. Analytical, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
  20. Ability to manage, mentor, and motivate in a team environment to achieve results that meet or exceed client expectations
  21. Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering (preferably Chemical), or a related field; MBA is a plus
  22. Excellent organization skills and ability to meet deadlines
  23. Foreign language skills are a plus
  24. Good oral and written English language skills are required
  25. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
