About Venture Capital Role

Renate Capital Fund invests in revenue-positive Indian startups solving core Indian problems.

The fund is sector-agnostic, backed by a broad ecosystem across consulting, finance, housing, aviation, exports, skilling, and sustainability.

Job Overview

You will be part of the core team, working directly under the Managing Director, responsible for sourcing investors, structuring deals, closing deals, evaluating startups, managing due diligence, and supporting portfolio companies.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deal Sourcing: Identify investors/LPs through networks, events, inbound leads, accelerators, and referrals.
  • Evaluation of Investments: Analyze business models, financials, traction, and scalability of potential investments.
  • Due Diligence: Support legal, financial, and compliance checks on shortlisted startups.
  • Portfolio Support: Work with portfolio companies on fundraising, growth strategy, and performance tracking.
  • Market Research: Conduct deep dives into sectors, prepare market maps, and identify emerging opportunities.
  • Fund Operations: Assist with investment memos, reporting to LPs, and internal fund documentation.
  • Ecosystem Building: Represent Renate Capital at startup events, demo days, and founder meetings.
Necessary Skills
  • Candidate Profile: Completed or ongoing Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience: 6-12 months of experience in VC, PE, consulting, investment banking, or startup strategy.
  • Skills: Strong financial modelling and analytical skills, strong networking skills, and prior built-up network.
  • Presentation Abilities: Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Mindset: Entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable working in a fast-paced, lean team environment.
