SQL Database Administrator Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced SQL database administrator to take on a challenging role within our organization. In this position, you will be responsible for the installation, upgrade, and migration of SQL Servers.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Installation/Upgradation/Migration of SQL Servers
  • Apply patches or service packs for SQL Server
  • Configure High Availability/Disaster recovery solutions
  • Configure automated alerts to send mail to the team if there are any issues
  • Work on incidents, change tickets, and problem tickets
  • Setup Maintenance plans for Backups, Database integrity check, Rebuild index, Update statistics
  • Troubleshoot locking issues, including deadlocks, blocking, lock timeouts, and fix them
  • Join calls to troubleshoot and fix high-priority incidents
  • Execute all changes of db schema and maintain a controlled development environment
  • Work closely with application developers to test, configure, and optimize servers based on application demands
  • Handle database object deployment to Integration, QA, UAT, and Production
  • Provide day-to-day support of high OLTP HA of SQL Server databases- Identify root causes of production problems and work with developers to resolve such problems
  • Work on performance tuning like creating missing indexes

Requirements:

  • 6-12 years of experience as an MSSQL Database administrator
  • Hands-on experience in Always On and DB Mirroring
  • Experience in scripting using perl, power shell
  • Experience in AWS/Azure
  • Willingness to work in 24X7 projects (Shifts)
