Job Overview:

The role of Learning Management System Specialist involves creating and maintaining high-quality courses on a digital platform. This entails developing engaging content, formatting documents, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring seamless learning experiences that adhere to strict accessibility and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Course Development: Design and develop courses aligning with instructional design specifications and meeting quality benchmarks.
  • Content Creation: Create, format, and organize content pages, quizzes, assignments, and documents as per design document guidelines and accessibility standards.
  • Asset Management: Manage and maintain course assets, guaranteeing they meet the highest quality standards.
  • Content Editing: Build and edit content on Content Management System (CMS).
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) reviews to ensure learning materials meet stringent quality and accessibility standards.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve LMS-related issues during course setup and delivery, collaborating with relevant teams for effective solutions.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure project requirements and specifications are met.
  • Project Delivery: Deliver projects on time and ensure they meet the high-quality benchmarks of the organization.
  • Process Improvement: Participate in internal continuous improvement efforts by offering innovative ideas and solutions for process enhancement.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay updated on emerging LMS features and online learning trends to recommend improvements for course delivery and user experience.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • A bachelor's degree in technology or related field is required.
  • A minimum of one year of working knowledge of HTML and proficiency in CSS, JS, and accessibility standards is necessary.
  • Experience working on Canvas LMS and/or CMS is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and authoring tools like Articulate 360 and H5P is preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills are essential.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills are required.
  • The ability to multitask and manage time effectively is crucial.
