The role of Assistant Manager – Inventory and Dispatch involves overseeing warehouse operations, ensuring seamless distribution to 200+ centers across India. This includes inventory control, dispatch planning, vendor coordination, and process improvement for efficient supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management

Ensure accurate stock keeping of all categories, including uniforms, welcome kits, and student modules. Forecast demand based on academic cycles and regional requirements. Supervise cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation of physical vs. system inventory. Manage replenishment planning with procurement teams.

Dispatch & Logistics Operations

  • Plan and execute pan-India dispatches to 150 centers within defined timelines.

Supervise packing, labeling, and dispatch documentation for accuracy. Negotiate and coordinate with logistics/courier partners for timely delivery. Monitor shipment movement, resolve escalations, and ensure zero service gaps.

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for academic, non-academic, and regional teams for dispatch requirements.

Align with center heads on material needs and delivery schedules. Manage escalations related to shortages, delays, or damages.

Process Compliance & Reporting

  • Implement standard operating procedures for warehouse, inventory, and dispatch operations.

Track key performance indicators such as dispatch accuracy, turnaround time, and delivery adherence. Prepare management information systems (MIS) and dashboards for senior management.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of inventory and warehouse management systems.
  • Knowledge of pan-India logistics and dispatch planning.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills for supply chain challenges.
  • Team leadership and vendor management capabilities.
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel or Google Sheets for data analysis.

Qualification & Experience

  • Graduate or postgraduate in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Operations.
  • 4–6 years of relevant experience in inventory management and dispatch operations.
  • Prior experience in pan-India distribution is preferred.
