Job Title: Senior Associate - Design Engineer

The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong understanding of design engineering principles and practices.

We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join our team in Tiruchirappalli, India. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing and developing BIW components and structures for Passenger & Commercial Vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop BIW components and structures for Passenger & Commercial Vehicles
  • Support Value Analysis (VA) and Value Engineering (VE) initiatives
  • Collaborate with Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE), manufacturing, and cross-functional teams for integration and feasibility
  • Ensure compliance with structural, safety, noise vibration harshness (NVH), and homologation requirements
  • Deliver designs aligned with project targets (cost, weight, quality, and timing)

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 4-8 years of experience in Design Engineering
  • B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical / Automobile Engineering
  • Strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), vehicle packaging, assembly processes, and feasibility
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling, stamping, and regulations

Tools and Skills:

  • CATIA V5 (Part, Assembly, Sheet Metal, GSD, Drawing), Teamcenter
  • BIW design and development - Upper Body, Closures, Underbody, Front-End Structure
