Financial Accountant Position

The role involves end-to-end financial accounting activities, focusing on private equity and alternative investments.

  • Perform daily and monthly net asset value (NAV) calculations using Geneva software.
  • Conduct manual profit and loss (PnL) and NAV calculations to ensure accuracy and reconcile with software outputs.
  • Process and value complex instruments, including private equity, bonds, forwards, and swaps.

The Financial Accountant will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities
  • Daily cash and position reconciliations with brokers and custodians.
  • Preparing and reviewing accounting entries in Geneva software.
  • Managing end-to-end fund accounting and investment operations for assigned clients.
  • Handling multi-currency portfolio accounting, income and expense accruals, and dividend processing.
  • Preparation of financial statements according to US GAAP/IFRS standards.
  • Coordinating with auditors and supporting year-end audit and financial closure.
  • Producing accurate and timely investor capital statements and internal rate of return (IRR) calculations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience working with Geneva software.
  • Strong knowledge of fund accounting principles, with a focus on private equity and alternative assets.
  • Familiarity with global accounting/reporting standards (US GAAP, IFRS).
  • Excellent analytical and manual calculation skills.
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines.
