Job Overview

An Investment Analyst role exists to facilitate investment decision-making by analyzing market research, conducting financial analysis and modeling, identifying potential investment opportunities, and monitoring portfolio company performance.

">Key Responsibilities:
  • Business Evaluation and Market Research: Conduct thorough market research, sector deep-dives, and due diligence of proposed opportunities to support investment teams in making informed decisions.
  • Financial Analysis and Modeling: Perform detailed financial analysis and build financial models to assess company performance and investment potential. Interpret financial and operational data to inform investment decisions.
  • Opportunity Sourcing and Investment Case Development: Scout for potential investment opportunities, build strong investment cases, and conduct financial due diligence to draft investment recommendations and portfolio review notes.
  • Portfolio Monitoring and Performance Tracking: Monitor performance of portfolio companies on a quarterly and annual basis, evaluating financial budgets, key initiatives, and strategic plans for portfolio companies.
  • Fund and Investment Tracking: Track and maintain records of external funds and investments, monitoring expected drawdowns, disbursements, dividends, and return of capital using cash flow statements.
  • Portfolio Analysis and Reporting: Assist in analyzing portfolio data and trends, contributing to the preparation of presentations, review notes, and investment memos.
  • Sector Analysis and Market Trends: Conduct in-depth sectoral analysis to identify emerging trends, market developments, key players, and new investment areas of interest.
  • Risk Monitoring and Compliance Awareness: Monitor financial and non-financial risks associated with investments and understand regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Project Coordination: Assist in coordinating and implementing strategic projects within the group, working closely with CIOs and supporting projects directed by the President Investments.
