Job Summary

The role of Systems Engineer I is responsible for maintaining, repairing and supporting systems and storage products to ensure continued operation and functionality.

This position will act in a technical support and consulting capacity to provide quality services to internal and external clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide advanced end-user support in an Enterprise environment.
  • Support Windows Desktop and Server operating systems.
  • Interact with customers to schedule troubleshooting and downtime.
  • Advanced understanding of Windows Patching and antivirus software.
  • Handle initiating, tracking, and reporting on software deployments.
  • Run virus scans and report on outcome.
Requirements
  • Comprehensive knowledge of managed services and multi-tenant support environments.
  • Hands-on virtualization experience using VMware and Hyper-V.
  • Conceptual knowledge of how application data flows over the network and firm foundation of OSI model.
  • Proven ability to isolate and diagnose problems with common Internet technologies (DNS, TCP/IP, SMTP, SNMP, HTTP, SSL).
  • Knowledge of Patching process and tools for Desktops and Servers.
Working Conditions
  • Work performed primarily in an office or remote environment.
  • May be subject to time constraints and tight deadlines.
  • May require occasional travel.
