Senior Tax Compliance Specialist

The ideal candidate will oversee the end-to-end management of sales and use tax compliance for US operations. This critical role requires a thorough understanding of multi-state tax laws and regulations.
This position is responsible for managing all aspects of US sales and use tax compliance, including accurate and timely filing of returns across multiple states and jurisdictions.
In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring legislative and regulatory changes in US indirect taxes and assessing their impact on our business. You will also provide tax advice to internal stakeholders on customer invoicing, pricing structures, and procurement tax implications.
A key component of this role is collaborating with IT and operations teams to ensure system tax settings are accurate and updated. Additionally, you will assist with process improvements and automation initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce risks.
Maintaining thorough documentation and controls to support tax positions and audit readiness is also an essential responsibility of this position.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in US sales & use tax, including filing and compliance.
- Strong knowledge of multi-state tax laws, and exemptions.
- Experience handling state audits and notices.
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and accountability.
