Job Title: Tax Consultant Specialist

Job Description:

As a Tax Consultant Specialist, you will be responsible for handling client engagements end-to-end related to Direct Tax Laws. This includes providing tax advisories, on-going compliance, and tax litigation support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take responsibility for client engagements and assignments.
  • Handle client engagements end-to-end related to Direct Tax Laws.
  • Provide tax advisories, on-going compliance, and tax litigation support.
  • Analyze and research technical issues and interpret provisions under the Income Tax Act and International Tax.
  • Represent clients in assessments, appeals, and other income-tax matters before Tax Officers.
  • Maintain open litigation status, tax risks analysis, and defense strategy on an ongoing basis.
  • Draft submissions for tax assessments, appeals, penalty, show cause, revision, order giving effects, refunds, recovery, rectification, and other income-tax proceedings.
  • Develop good rapport with client management.
  • Assist seniors in execution and management of assigned engagements with team support.
  • Solve complex problems of client tax matters proactively.
  • Identify opportunities in existing client pursuits and endeavor to convert them.
  • Coordinate with Seniors & Partner on planning and management of assignments.
  • Provide timely and high-quality services, managing client expectations.
  • Update clients on ongoing matters on a prompt and regular basis, keeping track of industry developments.
  • Participate in technical sessions as per learning and development initiative.
  • Effectively handle team members.

Qualifications:

  • Chartered accountant with experience in Direct Tax - Income Tax & DTAAs, International Tax.
  • Working knowledge of FEMA & Corporate Law.
  • Will to handle tax office matters.
  • Minimum 3-5 years post qualification work experience.
