Job Title: Tax Compliance Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Compliance Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing direct and indirect taxation, including GST and income tax, as well as handling labour laws compliance and return filings.

The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. They will also possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external consultants/auditors.

A key responsibility of this role will be to provide tax planning, advisory, and risk management support to the organization. This will involve identifying areas of improvement and implementing changes to minimize tax liabilities.


Key Responsibilities
  • Manage direct and indirect taxation, including GST and income tax.
  • Handle labour laws compliance and return filings, including MCA filings, resolutions, assessments, and other statutory requirements.
  • Ensure timely statutory compliance and support audits, replies to notices, and attend hearings.
  • Provide tax planning, advisory, and risk management support to the organization.
  • Deal with commercial tax departments and consultants/auditors for tax audit, statutory audit, and other reviews.
  • Prepare and review monthly and annual tax provisions and tax disclosures in financial statements.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in tax compliance and accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations, including GST and income tax.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external consultants/auditors.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
