Direct Tax Specialist

We have an opportunity for a seasoned finance professional to join our team as a Financial Strategist. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing direct tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position.
This role requires someone with in-depth knowledge of Indian direct tax laws and regulatory frameworks, as well as proven experience in tax planning, compliance, and handling tax audits.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement direct tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position
- Research, interpret, and apply relevant tax laws and regulations to ensure full compliance
- Prepare and review direct tax returns, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely submission
- Manage tax audits and coordinate responses and documentation for tax authorities
- Advise internal teams on tax implications of business decisions and transactions
- Monitor changes in direct tax laws and assess their business impact
- Identify tax saving opportunities while minimizing tax liabilities and risks
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
- In-depth knowledge of Indian direct tax laws and regulatory frameworks
- Proven experience in tax planning, compliance, and handling tax audits
- Strong research and analytical skills to interpret complex tax legislation
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in mentoring or guiding junior finance professionals
