IT Demand Management Practice Owner

As a key member of the Hapag-Lloyd AG team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a standardized IT demand management process that ensures clear communication, prioritization, and resource allocation for all software requests throughout their entire lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive IT demand management process that aligns with the company's IT strategy and ensures efficient resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to understand their business needs and translate them into actionable IT requests.
  • Evaluate the feasibility, cost, and potential risks associated with IT requests and prioritize them based on business criticality and resource availability.
  • Communicate request status and decisions to stakeholders in a timely and transparent manner.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive SaaS governance framework that includes policies, procedures, and controls for the selection, deployment, management, and renewal of SaaS solutions.
  • Work with procurement and legal teams to establish standardized contract terms and negotiation strategies for SaaS vendors.
  • Conduct due diligence evaluations of potential SaaS solutions, considering security, compliance, scalability, and integration capabilities.
  • Maintain a comprehensive inventory of all SaaS solutions used within Hapag-Lloyd AG and collaborate with the CMDB or Asset Management team to keep a centralized SaaS repository.
  • Monitor and optimize SaaS usage patterns to identify opportunities for cost savings or improved efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant data privacy regulations when using SaaS solutions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, business administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in IT service management or a related field.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing IT demand management processes.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing and SaaS solutions.
  • Experience with IT service management (ITSM) frameworks such as ITIL is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience working in a matrixed environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and project management tools.
