Community Development Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Community Development Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments of underprivileged communities, identifying campaign issues, and implementing interventions to achieve sustainable poverty alleviation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments of identified underprivileged communities to identify areas of need and potential solutions.
  • Develop and implement strategies to address the needs of these communities, in collaboration with partner NGOs and employees.
  • Mobilize communities through regular visits and collaboration with NGO partners and employees to promote engagement and ownership of development initiatives.
  • Design and implement projects that showcase holistic development and mainstreaming of displaced populations.
  • Manage grants and ensure timely flow and effective utilization of funds with NGO partners.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and maintain project MIS, including quarterly and annual reports.

Additional Responsibilities: Supporting other HCL Foundation projects, assisting the Director, and providing recommendations on new programs.

Required Skills and Qualifications: A strong background in community development, social work, or a related field; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively in a team environment; experience with grant management and project implementation.
