The primary objective of this role is to drive growth through renewable energy solutions in the commercial and industrial (C&I) segment.
Main Responsibilities:- Growth Development and Sales:
- Identify potential C&I customers for third-party and captive renewable energy solutions.
- Develop strategic sales plans to achieve business targets, focusing on revenue growth and long-term partnerships.
- Build a strong pipeline of potential customers and drive deal closures, ensuring successful project implementation.
- Presentation and proposal development are key skills required for this position.
- Client Engagement and Relationship Management:
- Establish strong relationships with key decision-makers in target companies, promoting effective collaboration.
- Conduct market research to understand client energy needs and align solutions accordingly.
- Negotiate and finalize Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with customers, securing long-term agreements.
- Market & Regulatory Analysis:
- Stay updated on industry trends, policies, and regulatory frameworks affecting C&I renewable energy.
- Engage with government bodies, DISCOMs, and regulatory authorities for approvals and compliance, ensuring seamless operations.
- Collaboration & Coordination:
- Closely work with internal teams, including finance, legal, and operations, to ensure smooth project execution.
- Coordinate with EPC partners, developers, and consultants for project feasibility and execution, maintaining open communication channels.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; an MBA is preferred for advanced management skills.
- A minimum of 10-12 years of experience in business development/sales within the renewable energy sector, preferably in C&I sales.
- Strong knowledge of third-party/captive power models, open access policies, and PPA structures.
- A proven track record of closing deals and meeting revenue targets, demonstrating exceptional sales performance.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, essential for building strong relationships.
