Project Construction Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Construction Specialist to support the planning, coordination, and execution of civil construction projects.

The ideal candidate will ensure technical accuracy, schedule adherence, quality compliance, and safety on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing construction schedules and work plans.
  • Coordinate with design teams, consultants, and contractors for smooth workflow.
  • Identify project requirements and assist in resource planning (materials, manpower, equipment).
Site Supervision:
  • Oversee day-to-day construction activities to ensure alignment with approved drawings and specifications.
  • Supervise subcontractors and site teams to maintain quality and progress.
  • Resolve on-site technical issues in coordination with the engineering and design team.
Technical Support & Documentation:
  • Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing method statements, shop drawings, material submittals.
  • Maintain updated records, daily progress reports, as-built documentation.
Quality Assurance & Control:
  • Ensure work complies with quality standards, codes, project specifications.
  • Conduct inspections, coordinate with QA/QC team to rectify non-conformities.
  • Monitor material testing, ensure use of approved materials.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE):
  • Implement safety practices on-site in compliance with HSE policies.
  • Conduct safety briefings, enforce personal protective equipment (PPE) usage.
  • Report, document incidents or safety violations.
Cost & Resource Management:
  • Assist in quantity take-offs, verification of subcontractor/vendor bills.
  • Monitor material consumption to minimize wastage, control costs.
  • Coordinate timely procurement, delivery of materials to avoid work delays.
Communication & Coordination:
  • Attend site meetings with clients, consultants, stakeholders.
  • Communicate progress, risks, issues to the Project Manager promptly.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with all project participants.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech).
  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in civil construction projects (residential, commercial, infrastructure, industrial).
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Project/Primavera, MS Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with national building codes, IS codes, construction safety standards.
  • Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving skills.
