Job Opportunity: Senior Accounting Professional

Job Title: US Accounting Manager (NetSuite)

Location: Gurgaon

Experience: 7+ Years

Key Competencies:

1. Accounting Expertise: Must have in-depth knowledge of accounting concepts and demonstrated experience in developing efficient accounting policies and SOPs, including U.S. GAAP.

2. Reporting Skillset: Must have competency in preparing financial statements, understanding the positioning of significant accounting transactions, and reviewing consolidation and supporting audit worksheets.

3. Technical Capability: Must have experience owning reporting processes, balance sheet reconciliations/roll-forwards, and questioning transactions for accuracy.

4. Systems Proficiency: Systems expertise with NetSuite or a comparable software package, demonstrating knowledge by taking systemically-generated trial balance through production/mapping to financial statements.

Requirements:

1. Must hold a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CA (Chartered Accountant) qualification.

2. Experience with monthly/recurring/closing journal entries and financial statements, demonstrated by a close calendar walkthrough.

3. Minimum of 7 to 10 years' relevant operational accounting experience with a mixture of different industry experiences.

4. Minimum of 5 years working with external and/or internal auditors, knowing when to push back on auditors when needed.

5. 7 to 10 years' experience as a Senior Accountant position with mid-cap ($200 million to $500 million annual revenue), or larger companies.

6. Stability of employment relationships demonstrated by 1.5 to 2-years at each employer.

7. Knowledge of NetSuite or other comparable general ledger systems.

8. Public accounting experience and/or knowledge of corporate/business and income taxes is a plus.
